1 (U) the possibility that someone or something will be harmed or killed: Danger! High Voltage.
(+ of): Is there any danger of infection, doctor? (+ from): danger from radioactive sources | in danger (=in a situation in which you may be harmed or killed): I had a sudden feeling that Petra was in danger. | out of danger (=not in danger any more): The patient is now out of danger.
2 (countable often plural) something or someone that may harm or kill you: I think he enjoys the dangers of rock climbing. | face dangers (=do something that involves dangers): All boxers are well aware of the dangers they face in the ring. | be a danger to: The wreck is a danger to other ships.
3 (C, U) the possibility that something unpleasant will happen: danger that: There is always the danger that Elizabeth will go back on her promise.
(+ of): Is there much danger of losing money? | be in danger of (=be in a situation in which something unpleasant may happen): Carlos is in danger of losing his job.
4 be on the danger list to be so ill that you may die
5 there's no danger of that used to mean that something bad will not happen
